Introduction: Low back pain is a problem that affects 11,9% of the economically active population worldwide, and Dental Surgeons, due to long working hours, sedentary lifestyle, obesity and non-compliance with the ergonomic ideal for the profession, are within this percentage. Known for causing lumbar discomfort, this condition manifests itself in the limiting form of musculoskeletal movements, impairing the professional and social life of patients.. Objective: To identify the frequency of Low Back Pain in Dental Surgeons who work in primary public health care in the city of Rio Branco/Acre, as well as to describe and analyze the epidemiological profile of these professionals. Method: This is a field research with a qualitative-quantitative approach, carried out in 2018. Obeying the exclusion criterion, only 30 Health Units, out of a total of 59 jobs, were visited by the researchers. Results: The presence of low back pain was highlighted in 53.33%, whose average age in years is between 41 women and 42.81 for women, with an average BMI of 26 kg/m2, indicating a result slightly overweight, average hours worked per week is 41.87 for men and 42.85 for women. Conclusion: Regarding the clinical findings, it was concluded that low back pain is related to several factors, with emphasis on ergonomics, time in the profession and workload. Thus, self-care and prevention of this condition is important, it is recommended that new studies be carried out in order to obtain more information about the problem.
